This edition stems from Marcs ongoing studies related to transgenic plant-life, flowers and fruits.

His flower sculpture series ‘The Nurseries of El Dorado’ in 2008 consisted of an exotic aray of plants cast in bronze, which bore the flowers, fruits and vegetables from far off climates and eco systems, hybridising them into one magical species.

'Ice Strawberry' stands alone, cast in bronze and painted with white glossy paint, as if it grew in climate far removed from where it belongs in the same nature as Marcs window installation at Selfridges 'Blizzard of Desire'.
